Good to know

Water to the bathroom needs to be shut off and fixtures capped before demolition. Older homes often have thick mortar-set tile and plaster, which take more time, so mention them in your request. Ontario requires a designated substance survey (asbestos, lead and similar) before demolition on most older buildings, especially those built before 1990. If asbestos is found, it is removed by a licensed abatement contractor before we start, and quoted separately.
